Anime Recommendations?

I love anime that is dark and suspenseful, but I can't seem to find any. Does anyone know a good anime that fits that description?

Um um..."Ghost Hunt"? I looove that series. <333 8 D;;

Kuroshitsuji. There are a good amount of dark anime out there you just got to look closely. Not just the first episode or two because sometimes the darkness doesn't start to show until more of the plot line or the series has developed.

I'd say Evangelion if you're into Giant Robot stuff. Well, it was dark/suspenseful to me anyways.
If you're looking for something else though, I'd suggest Darker than Black, X, or Ghost in the Shell.

Mad Bull 34 its more of dark in a sense of gore and full of drama because its about cops

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, Paranoia Agent, Ghost in the Shell, Kuroshitsuji, Elfen Lied, Death Note...

I definitely recommend Durarara!! for those who have not yet seen it. It is an amazing series~ ^.^

Mmm, xxxHOLiC by Clamp is dark, and a bit suspensful. It's paranormal, too. But it's not like a horror or anything. Elfen Leid is very dark, but also very gorey. I wouldnt say suspensful either.
